MBC GROUP Launches 'El Leila Doub'

MBC GROUP has announced the launch of 'El Leila Doub', an Arabic-language adaptation of the Emmy-nominated US hit show, 'That’s My Jam'.

Hosted by Egyptian acting star Hassan El Raddad, 'El Leila Doub' is set to feature some of the Arab world's best-known celebrities taking on a variety of music- and dance-inspired challenges, competing head-to-head and mic-to-mic in rounds of friendly competition.
'El Leila Doub' broadcasts on MBC1 and MBC IRAQ.

The original 'That’s My Jam' sees Jimmy Fallon host stars such as Ariana Grande and Blake Shelton competing in various friendly competitions, offering up unforgettable moments and hilarious performances. Every season, celebrity guests on 'That’s My Jam' take on an epic mix of challenges, such as 'Launch the Mic', 'Air Guitar', 'Don't Drop the Beat', 'Perfect Mash-Up', 'Wheel of Impossible Karaoke', 'Slay It, Don't Spray It', and more as the participants try to win cash prizes for their chosen charities.

'That's My Jam' originally launched in 2021 with a third season currently in production in the United States. The 'That's My Jam' franchise – which has seen local versions launched in the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Mongolia, the Netherlands, and Germany – is distributed internationally by NBCUniversal Formats, which is part of Universal International Studios, a division of Universal Studio Group.

In 'El Leila Doub', stars from the Arab world take on each other in musical challenges, with the winning team scoring the highest number of points.

Every episode kicks off with two teams, each comprised of two stars working together to try and win four challenges during the show, with the tasks varying from show to show. Designed to test the celebrities’ knowledge, artistic memory, and their ability to communicate their ideas to each other under pressure, 'El Leila Doub' begins with 'Karaoke Mesh Okay', where the stars compete in a musical round.

Another two challenges are chosen at random, before the programme concludes with 'Ghanni Aw Tughtasal', which tests the competitors’ song knowledge. Every episode, a mysterious guest joins Al-Raddad to judge the competition.

Marking El Raddad's first presenting role, the renowned actor commented: "Hosting is completely different from acting, which I have enjoyed and found to match my personality. It is a unique art that sets it apart from other disciplines, with its unique creativity and challenges. I am thoroughly enjoying it so far."
