TV4 select Chyron for the heart of new facility

Chyron Corporation have announced that TV4 Sweden have ordered two Sirius routers to sit at the heart of a transmission facility, designed initially for the launch of a new sports and leisure channel.
The order was facilitated by ATG Broadcast, with the Chyron technology specifically requested by TV4.
TV4 are currently preparing to launch the new channel - TV4 plus - in the first quarter of this year. It will broadcast sports, leisure and entertainment programming. TV4 are partnering with the two Swedish state-owned betting companies to widen the channel's appeal. The broadcaster has spent much of the last year finalising distribution deals, and the new launch will be carried on a mix of digital and analogue platforms, with cable, satellite and digital terrestrial all opting to carry it. TV4 plus will be carried as part of existing multi-channel packages.
