VIDFILM OPENS DIGITAL MIXING STAGE

VIDFILM International Digital, a leading full-service audio and video post production house, have announced the completion of the facility’s first digitally equipped theatrical mixing stage.
The new room, which measures 52 feet by 30 feet, is fully equipped to run 35mm, standard video projection, or high definition projection. Vidfilm will use the room to provide a one-stop resource for A-list studios, as well as independent film and video producers, who need high-def transfers and audio post production, as well as duplication and distribution services.
The newest Vidfilm addition was constructed by noted studio designer Vincent Van Hoff, and is built around the latest Euphonics System 5 digital mixing console. The board offers two fully loaded Pro Tools Mix Plus 24 systems, with playback monitoring from a sophisticated JBL 5672 series, active 5.1 monitoring system.
“The opening of this newest mixing room represents a move on Vidfilm’s part to cater to a truly global clientle,” states Vidfilm Vice President of Audio Services, Bruce Graham. “This room is Vidfilm’s eleventh audio mix room and first digitally equipped theatrical mix stage. From the inception of construction, nearly a year ago, it was our goal to construct a premier mixing stage that would offer a range of services over a wide array of applications, as well as meet the growing international demand for the ability to work in a variety of formats.”
To accomplish this, Vidfilm sought out the renowned studio design expertise of Vincent Van Hoff. A winner of numerous industry awards and accolades, Van Hoff understood Vidfilm’s requirements and designed a room that offers an array of multi-tasking capabilities to clients and users.
