Sonifex launch word-clock distribution amplifier

Sonifex’s range of distribution amplifiers is expanding with the addition of the RB-DDA6W 6-way word-clock distribution amplifier, on display on stand 484 at the Broadcast Production Show.
The unit’s primary application is to distribute a master BNC TTL world clock source to up to 6 BNC word-clock pieces of equipment that need to be synchronised from the master.
Sonifex Technical Director, Chris Stills, said: “We had a number of requests at the 2003 NAB show for a word-clock distribution system, so we’ve simply added this 6-way unit to our existing range of S/PDIF, AES/EBU and analogue audio DAs. Each output on the RB-DDA6W is individually buffered so it’s capable of driving long lines – we’ve used it to drive signals through 100m of cable, so it should be useful for even the largest studio application.”
The RB-DDA6W is available now in the UK from Sonifex.
