Gee Broadcast supply Cellcast with playout services

Gee Broadcast's Geevs video servers are providing playout services for interactive cellular telephony-based broadcaster Cellcast from its new global HQ in Portland Street, London.
Cellcast Technical Director Hilary Anderson explained: "One Geevs video server is currently providing three channels of playout, but that will shortly increase to six. We have two Geevs systems, one providing redundancy to the other. There's also some custom software development on the Geevs - not to make it an automation system - but Gee modified it, providing control of a switching matrix. That way we have all our studios and all of our video engines connected to the switch and Geevs."
Cellcast innovates and provides a range of television and web-streamed programmes that generate substantial revenues via premium rate, interactive, cellular telephony.
