Core Networks announce CoreRhythm release

Core Networks, a leader in operations support system (OSS) solutions for the cable television/broadband industry, has announced the release of CoreRhythm, a new firmware management system designed to automate the upgrade process for devices on a broadband network.
CoreRhythm replaces current solutions which require manual intervention, saving time and money for the operators and greatly improving customer satisfaction. CoreRhythm is a complete firmware management solution designed to manage firmware image upgrades reliably through secure software download (SSD) for all DOCSIS (data over cable service interface specification), Euro-DOCSIS, PacketCable, and CableHome devices in a broadband network, including cable modems, embedded MTAs, MTAs, and Residential Gateways. CoreRhythm delivers an intuitive, flexible, and comprehensive solution, providing multi-vendor support across both CableLabs and tComLabs standard specifications.
"CoreRhythm is extremely important in terms of savings for the cable operator," said Craig Soderquist, CEO of Core Networks. "The immediate cost savings in terms of automatically and remotely upgrading devices is obvious. As more services are added, CoreRhythm's ability to detect and track new devices also means that the operator has much better asset management capability, making overall network management much more simple than it has ever been before."
A highly scalable solution designed specifically to meet the needs of top-tier cable operators, CoreRhythm is capable of upgrading millions of multi-vendor devices in a centralised or distributed operating environment.
As a Web-based software application, CoreRhythm simplifies the implementation and management of the upgrade process by network operations centre (NOC) personnel. With a wizard-based design, CoreRhythm reduces the complexity of the workflow and functionality required to upgrade firmware successfully for DOCSIS and Euro-DOCSIS devices throughout the network in a timely and reliable manner. Scheduling and automation functions allow NOC personnel to upgrade the network during low use periods or off-hours without continuous input and monitoring.
CoreRhythm is the first release in Core Networks' enCore! integrated suite of network management tools on a common platform.
