ZONE VISION SIGN DEAL WITH MGM

ZONE Vision, the London-based thematic channel producers and distributors, have signed an additional deal with Hollywood major MGM acquiring top-quality titles from the studio's library for Le Cinema marking the second arrangement between the two companies.
The agreement follows a deal signed at MIP-TV last year which was the first cable and satellite deal with a major Hollywood studio for Poland. Le Cinema, which currently broadcasts in Poland and Hungary to over two million homes combines the classics of European cinema with the more recent film releases and there are plans to launch the channel in other territories.
Underlining their position as the pre-eminent channel and programme distributors across Europe, Zone Vision has secured over 50 top feature titles for Le Cinema from MGM. The package includes classic films starring best-loved stars such as Billy Wilder's Irma La Douce, featuring Shirley MacLaine and Jack Lemmon, and Much Ado About Nothing, directed by Oscar winner Kenneth Branagh.
