AP appoints Head of New Media for International Business

Alex Keighley has been appointed Head of New Media for AP International, the division of the Associated Press charged with expanding AP business outside of the United States.
In this new role, Keighley will be the champion of new media and will have responsibility for all such activities for API. He will especially be responsible for the delivery of revenue, the advancement of new products and the development of new markets. Where appropriate this will mean the establishment of new partnerships and relationships.
Keighley will report to Ian Ritchie, Vice President of Global Business for API, and Daisy Veerasingham, API Sales Director.
Keighley was previously Sales Director, Reuters Media and Global Account Director for media clients at Telstra Europe. After leaving Reuters, Keighley launched a commercial joint venture between BBC News and BBC Worldwide. Alex's career started at The Times and he spent most of the 1990s working for UK newspapers.
