SMG APPOINT CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER
SCOTTISH Media Group (SMG) have appointed Kieran Sherry to the role of Chief Technology Officer with immediate effect.
This newly created senior post will combine Sherry’s current role of New Media Director with responsibility for technology application and development across the Group. He will also take on responsibility for the IT function and will report directly to Andrew Flanagan, Chief Executive of SMG.
The appointment will help to further strengthen SMG’s focus on the harnessing of technology across the Group.
Flanagan said: “I am delighted to welcome Kieran as Chief Technology Officer. He brings a wealth of experience to the position, having previously worked as New Media Director.” (CD)
