NXN Software expands in Asian market

NXN Software, recently acquired by Avid Technology, has announced continued market momentum in Asia for NXN alienbrain Studio.
New NXN customers in 2003 included well-known game developers NCSoft, Hanbitsoft and DR-Interactive in Korea, and CAVIA, Namco, Sonic Team, Think and Feel, Grandprix and Tose in Japan.
"Our recent successes in the Asian market point to a growing trend among game companies," said Gregor vom Scheidt, Managing Director at NXN. "Game developers are recognising that in order to compete in the global market, they need tools that can help them develop more efficiently across their teams."
NXN alienbrain Studio versions, tracks and stores production data throughout the development cycle. The graphical working environment provides thumbnails that help art teams find and view their latest file versions quickly, while a rollback feature allows team members to access all versions of a file ever created. The built-in workflow system makes it easy to determine the exact status of a file. Managers can use NXN alienbrain Studio's reporting features to find out who is working on which file and whether there are any production bottlenecks.
Avid acquired NXN in January 2004.
