NXN updates plug-in for Maya 5 integration

NXN Software has announced an updated plug-in that provides access to NXN alienbrain Studio functionality directly from Maya 5.
Coinciding with the recent release of Alias/Wavefront's Maya 5, NXN Software has announced the availability of an updated plug-in that integrates Maya 5 with asset management system for digital entertainment and computer graphics projects, NXN alienbrain Studio 6.0.
Like its predecessor, the Maya plug-in provides seamless access to NXN alienbrain functionality and enables users to work in the secure, version-controlled environment of NXN alienbrain Studio without leaving Maya 5.
With an integrated NXN alienbrain menu and icons at their fingertips, Maya users can easily navigate projects on NXN alienbrain Studio servers, check the workflow status of their assets and drag and drop models or textures into a workspace. A built-in reference manager facilitates the management of models and textures and automatically maintains dependencies.
NXN offers a range of free plug-ins that integrate content creation applications with NXN alienbrain products, including previous versions of Maya, Discreet 3ds max, Softimage|XSI, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office and others.
