Channel 4's Richard Brent To Stand Down

News Image
Channel 4's Head of Portfolio Management for Channels and VOD, Richard Brent has decided to step down from his role and will leave Channel 4 in early 2019.

In the role of Head of Portfolio Management, Richard has led the scheduling teams across all of Channel 4's portfolio of channels, and its programme management strategy across all services including All 4 – working closely with the Director of Programmes, commissioning team and the All 4 team.

Richard joined Channel 4 in 2011 as Channel Manager before being appointed Head of Channel Management in 2013 and then Head of Portfolio Management in 2015. Prior to this he was Head of Scheduling and Planning at Channel 5, and before that held senior scheduling roles at BBC ONE and BBC Daytime.
He said: "I've had a fantastic time at Channel 4 and I'm incredibly proud of what's been achieved by all the talented and hugely creative people here over the last eight years, but now feels like the right time for me to seek a new challenge."
