Screen East commission ‘national & ethnic film music catalogue’

Audio Network have been awarded an investment by Screen East, the film and moving image agency for the East of England, to develop an authentic national and ethnic film music catalogue.
The award is made under the Regional Investment Fund for England (RIFE) supported by the Film Council.
Audio Network represent an Oscar winning team of Hollywood based sound designers and 50 leading UK based media composers including Evelyn Glennie, Chris Blackwell and John Dankworth. The publishers of music and sound services to the international film and television markets will develop and promote the new catalogue alongside their existing music and sound effects libraries.
Laurie Hayward from Screen East said that this was a great opportunity for young musicians to work with the experienced team of writers and producers of film music Audio Network have to offer, as the project requires the services of a large number of composers and musicians from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Andrew Sunnucks, the Creative Director of Audio Network added that their customers are increasingly looking for authentic sounds from around the world for use in their productions and Audio Network are, therefore, delighted to have received this investment to help develop this important part of the business.
Audio Network were formed in July 2001 by two former directors of the international music publisher, Boosey & Hawkes in partnership with the sound design team at Soundstorm Inc.
