Positive Response To Custom Consoles Module-R And SystemTwo Desks

Custom Consoles reported very positive customer responses to its latest Module-R and SystemTwo studio desks, introduced in their enhanced forms at the mid-September International Broadcasting Convention.

The show itself, held at the Amsterdam RAI exhibition centre, attracted nearly 56,000 registered visitors, close to the highest-ever attendance of nearly 57,669 achieved in 2017.

"Some people question the value of big trade shows in today's connected world particularly when they have to sign the purchase order for another year," said Custom Consoles' Managing Director Neil Reed. "Of the various shows we support, IBC continues to generate the greatest amount of real business. Most of our IBC2018 stand visitors were from mainland Europe plus about average attendance from the UK and and small but significant turnout from America, Canada, Africa and the Middle East. We also had useful meetings with key European broadcast system integrators, many of whom are active on upgrade projects across the continent and beyond."

"Examples of our newly enhanced Module-R studio control room furniture and SystemTwo edit-suite desks were on display," said Sales Manager Gary Fuller. "The Module-R series offers customers the freedom to specify desks and storage pods of practically any shape and size from a range of standard modules. The enhanced version launched at IBC2018 incorporates slimmer legs plus very easy access to cableways. A full length rear cable brush strip provides a high level of flexibility for power and signal feeds to desk-mounted monitor arms. We have also introduced optional full-height end panels and given customers the choice of Compact Density Fibreboard or the established worktops for pods and work surfaces."

A mix-and-matchable control room furniture range, Custom Consoles' Module-R enables aesthetically attractive long-life desks to be configured in a variety of shapes and dimensions from a selection of high-quality pods, base sections, 19 inch rack housings, worktops, end-panel modules and legs. Coordinated desk pods are available as single-bay sections with up 10 rack unit chassis capacity. Module-R has been tested by FIRA to ensure compliance with current ISO standards. It is supplied with full cable management and internal 19 inch racking, accessible via removable front and rear cover panels. All rear surfaces and pods are completely interchangeable. A full length cable brush allows easy reconfiguration.

"SystemTwo series comprises a robust desk and separate monitor shelf, developed for graphics suites where staff tend either to hot-desk or appreciate being able to choose between working seated or standing," Gary Fuller added. "Both are electrically height-adjustable from 660 to 1200 mm. The new versions of SystemTwo match the new style and colour scheme of the latest Module-R. Lift load for both platforms has been doubled to 200 kilograms, again with a slimmer leg design and CDF desktop surfaces. We will continue to offer the original version for customers who prefer the latter's light-wood desk surfaces, large-radius curved styling and silver legs."

The new Module-R and SystemTwo desks will be available for delivery from early November.
