Fineline launches range of broadcast insurance products

Fineline Media Finance, provider of finance to the broadcast industry, has launched a range of insurance products specially designed to meet the needs of those working in the broadcast industry.
Gareth Wilding, Director, Fineline Media Finance, said: “Due to customer demand we have introduced a number of insurance solutions that can be tailored to suit the needs of both individuals and companies.”
A recent spate of break-ins and thefts of high value equipment at post-production houses, rental companies, and equipment dealers has resulted in many in the industry struggling to find competitive cover.
Tim Hands, freelance sound editor, recently took out an insurance policy through Fineline for equipment insurance. Hands insured his ProTools Audio equipment, for up to a value of £24,000, and found Fineline very easy to work with to arrange the cover.
Hands commented: “It is so much simpler to deal with people who know and understand my business. Fineline know the purposes, circumstances and risks involved in the postproduction industry and know how and where I use my kit. This helped me enormously and made arranging the insurance policy very straightforward.
