Multi-Level Filming For Blockbuster Movies

News Image
Filmmakers across the globe are embracing cutting edge technology to obtain awesome multi-level shots to compliment ground footage and add another dimension to blockbuster movies.

Booms, cranes and dolly's offer great ground and low level tracking and movement shots but what do you turn to when you need to capture footage in tricky locations or at a higher altitude?

At Skypower we specialize in providing the technology and ingenuity to fill the gap. Offering filming solutions from the ground up, our Segway's, Buggycams, Cablecams and drones are equipped to carry heavy lift cameras such as the Alexa Mini and RED.

Shooting for Blockbuster movie Final Score, we captured some great stunt sequences utilizing both our CableCam and drone systems.

Final Score is an upcoming action film directed by Scott Mann and written by David T. Lynch and Keith Lynch, starring Dave Bautista, who previously worked with Mann in Heist, Ray Stevenson and Pierce Brosnan.

Due to be released at cinemas later on in the year, the film has been represented as "Die Hard in a football stadium" and its certainly action packed.

Working with a number of big names in the TV and film industry, we're proud of our reputation as multi-level filming experts that can slot in seamlessly when required to established production teams. Our award-winning drone and gimbal operators have proven themselves to be outstandingly adept at capturing that perfect precision shot, or clear smooth-running footage, time and time again when its often a one shot opportunity.

As well as our special permission to operate at up to 10m within congested and built-up areas such as cities and towns we also take the strain by scouting for suitable locations for those aerial shots, and handle the necessary permit applications and provide thorough risk assessments.

The Skypower team love to work out a solution for those low level or movement shots and have the equipment and expertise both flying and technical to assist. With filmmakers continuing to push against the norm they wonder what their next unusual or challenging request will be.
