Shooting Partners Launches VR Competition

Shooting Partners has launched #MakeItVR – a professional VR production competition for video producers in the UK to win hands-on experience of VR production.

#MakeItVR provides an opportunity for anyone who might be interested in using virtual reality video in a professional capacity to gain skills and experience in VR production.

The shoot will be sponsored by Shooting Partners and the grand prize includes a VR shoot workshop, project management support, a pre-production briefing and advisory session with the Shooting Partners team and a VR shoot day with the full Nokia OZO kit and camera operator.

In addition, five shortlisted entrants will be invited to attend a VR workshop with a Nokia OZO demonstration and an introduction to the principles of shooting VR video.

Shaun Wilton, Shooting Partners' Director, said: "VR, AR and 360-degree video has had a huge impact on how video is used to communicate with audiences, but producing this content requires a very different approach to a traditional video shoot. The #MakeItVR competition gives production teams a chance to play and learn without having to pay for the privilege."
