IDT Introduces The O-10 Portable High Speed Camera

News Image
The Most Portable 4K High Speed Camera Is Now Even More Portable
High speed cameras have never been the most compact of cameras, but IDT are changing that.

IDT's ultra compact O-10 captures over 1,000 stunning UHD images per second, and includes many features designed to speed up workflow. HD-SDI, removable SSD memory, battery power, multiple interfaces.

What sets this apart from other ultra-slomo cameras? Well, the size of course, but it doesn't end there. Normally, a global shutter would mean reduced image quality, but IDT's expertise with very low noise global shutter sensors ensures an accurate recording of even the fastest movements with the highest of image quality.

In addition, the O-10 boasts a sensitivity of 2000 ISO, and a 12-stop latitude.
But what about control? Most high speed cameras require a control PC don't they?

For studio-based work, control from a MAC offers a very good solution, but the O-10's small size demands that it is used in all sorts of locations, so a portable controller was needed. Rather than re-invent the wheel (a bespoke controller can work out unnecessarily expensive), an iPhone app is now available (and Android) for full control of the camera in the field, with either WiFi or hardwired connection.

For subjects that require a faster frame rate, all the above advantages are also available on the O-9 camera, which has a 2560x1440 sensor, and frames at an impressive 3000fps at full resolution.

IDT is always innovating. Look out shortly for news about a solution for ultra-slomo instant action replays. If you'd like advance news on this, contact IDT now.
