QUANTEL TO HOST FORUM AT RSA IN LONDON
Quantel have enlisted an impressive array of leaders from the post production, broadcast and equipment manufacturing sides of the business to examine the future needs of our industry and look at ways of profitably harnessing the multi-resolution opportunities that are now unfolding.
Taking place over two days at the Royal Society of Arts (RSA) in the heart of Soho, London, the forum will examine topics ranging from digital acquisition, production and high resolution/digital film post production and grading – both techniques and technologies – to discussions of broadcasters' design requirements and their multi-resolution futures.
Prominent speakers so far confirmed include one of France's leading directors, Pitof, who recently produced one of Europe's first all-digital feature film, Andy King from the BBC talking about HD standards, as well as guest speakers from the USA and BSkyB. Manufacturers include Arri, Sony and Pandora. More speakers are continuously being added.
The format is designed to maximise information exchange and networking opportunities, combining speaker presentations, round tables, question and answer sessions and hands-on technology opportunities, all in an informal, relaxed environment.
There will be a cocktail reception on the evening of January 31, which will include a highlight celebration of the creativity shown by Quantel artists from around the world in the Quantel/Promax/BDA Artist of the Year Awards, now in its second year.
Anyone associated with the industry is welcome to attend – post, broadcast, film and manufacturers. Space at individual sessions is limited and will be assigned on a first-come, first served basis. All sessions are entirely free of charge. To register your place, visit www.quantel.com/rsa. (CD)
