Postproduction facilty One appoint Head of Visual Effects

Postproduction facility One have announced that Andy Brown has been appointed to head up their Visual Effects department.
Brown joins One from Blue, where he was Head of Department and Senior Flame Operator.
With over 16 years of experience working in postproduction in Soho, Brown’s career has seen him working at companies such as MPC, The Mill and Soho601, before joining Blue in 2001. During his time at Blue, Brown’s recent credits have included the titles and graphics work on LWT’s ‘Inside the mind of Tony Blair’, the recent ‘Fireworks Safety 2003’ television campaign and the idents for BBC World.
“Andy is perfect for this role” said Paul Jones, One’s Managing Director. “He is well liked and respected in the industry, a talented Inferno artist and a nice chap to boot. His appointment further demonstrates our commitment to bring the very best talent to One”.
Brown added: “After being turned down for the position of manager of Tottenham Hotspur I decided my best chance of Premier League success was at One. I spent a couple of really productive, creative years in the building when it was occupied by Soho601 and the whole place has been updated, upgraded and up-res'd since. There's a brilliant team of artists and producers at One and I was really excited to be asked to join them. I'm planning to be busy working on a wide range of different projects, getting stuck in to anything that comes through the door. Plus the suites are nice and big and the walls open. How good is that?”
