RABBATS RESIGNS AS BBC GOVERNOR
Channel Four have announced that Heather Rabbatts has resigned with immediate effect as a BBC Governor to become Managing Director at 4Learning.
BBC Chairman, Gavyn Davies, said: “Heather has been a terrific Governor of the BBC for the last two and a half years. Incisive, experienced, loyal to the ideals of public service broadcasting, she has made a real contribution to the Board of Governors. Channel 4 are lucky to get her.”
Rabbatts said: “I shall miss my involvement with the BBC greatly. I really enjoy the organisation, the issues and the people. But the job at Channel 4 means, regrettably, I can no longer be a BBC Governor. They’re both great British organisations providing outstanding public service broadcasting”. (CD)
