Irish film and television companies receive EU finance

Irish film and television companies have received development finance from the EU Media Programme.
Five companies, Element Films, Independent Pictures, Mint Productions, Wildfire Films, and Red Pepper Productions received slate funding support, in the form of a rolling credit line, ensuring development finance for the next three years. Element Films are the first Irish company to receive second stage slate funding.
Additionally, Comet Film & Television, Ferndale Films, Gallowglass Pictures, Goldfish Films, Igloo Productions, Subotica Entertainment and Wide Eye Films received development support for individual projects.
Concordia, Crossing The Line Films, Gallowglass Pictures and Little Bird have benefited from the Television Broadcasting support scheme, which provides distribution finance for international television projects.
The current awards bring the total awarded to Ireland since the inception of the Media programme in 1990 to Euro 17.8 million.
