Timeline TV Launch New 4K OB Truck
Timeline Television has launched its new outside broadcast truck, UHD2.
The triple expanding IP 4K HDR 32-camera truck has been designed and built by Timeline to include the latest IP infrastructure and HDR technology. The company has worked alongside with SAM to build the unit.
Daniel McDonnell, Managing Director, Timeline Television, said: "This new outside broadcast truck provides fully uncompressed IP capability to broadcasters. For our customers, it means we can scale and expand our facilities with ease to meet their demands. The IP technology provides support for up to 32, 4K UHD cabled Sony 4300 cameras and 12, 4K UHD EVS servers."
Robert Szabó Rowe, EVP and General Manager, Live Production and infrastructure SAM, added: "SAM understands how important partnerships are when developing and deploying new technology. We are proud that Timeline has selected a range of SAM equipment, including the IP kahuna production switcher, IP multi viewer and our range of IP infrastructure, to ensure they have the most flexible and competitive offering in the market."
Timeline's truck, UD2, will be at SVG Europe's Sport Tech on 7 June where the team will be providing tours and demonstrations of 4K IP workflows.
