Transvideo, Aaton Digital To Showcase New Products

News Image
Transvideo and Aaton Digital have announced that they will demonstrate their latest products at CABSAT 2017, Dubai World Trade Centre, 21 – 23 March.

Transvideo will exhibit the new StarliteRF-a, a wireless monitor with advanced camera control capabilities that can remotely control key functions of the ARRI ALEXA Mini and AMIRA cameras. The kit consists of a StarliteRF-a monitor-recorder and a TitanHD2 Tx-a that connects to the EXT socket of the ARRI cameras via a specific cable provided. The monitor receives the camera picture wirelessly, and users can adjust key camera functions wirelessly by return to the camera. The camera functions are accessed via the monitor's touch screen. There is also the ability to record and play back clips via the inbuilt recorder, which can be set up to record automatically when the camera records.

Also on display will be the new Stargate monitor-recorder, a 7” high-end monitor-recorder with a 3G HD/SDI full HD display, compatible with 4K SDI signal, and with HDR features. It has fast path processing with immediate display capability. It includes professional built-in tools including Job-Oriented Views, Focus Helper, Peaking, Markers, 3D LUTS, Zoom and Tally. The in-built recorder allows recording and playback of dailies via an onboard SD card, with recording via manual start or auto triggered from compatible cameras. Metadata pdf reports are also generated for each clip.

In addition to the above, the StarliteHD, the StarliteHD5-ARRI, and the TitanHD2 will also be on show.

Aaton Digital will highlight the new CantarMini, a 16-track digital portable mixer-sound recorder. Based on the CantarX3, the Mini retains full sound quality and uses the same preamps, limiters, faders, components as the CantarX3, with 16 tracks instead of 24, with less inputs, making it smaller in size and weight; just 2.8kg with two batteries on board. The software comes across also from the X3.

The Mini also has a large tilting display, uses the same batteries, and is compatible with the add-on mixer/fader panel Cantarem2.

On show also is Cantarem2, an add-on fader panel to add more faders for high track count recording on both the X3 and the Mini. The new-ABox with 8 rotary magnetic potentiometers and USB extends capabilities of the CantarX3 and the Mini. The latest version of Majax, the companion software of the Cantar family, and a new tablet interface will also be available at CABSAT.
