New Innovations From Cammotion

News Image
Cammotion are the inventors and owners of the one-off and highly specialised camera system, Vortex, that is used for on-shot vertical tracking from 0 to 100 feet (30 m) at speeds of up to 2 m/s.

Vortex remains essentially unchanged since its conception nearly 10 years ago and the system works to create the best content when paired with a 5-axis stabilised head, maintaining its performance even in challenging weather conditions.

This is exemplified in the stunning output from Vortex at the Somme 100th anniversary event last summer (see footage at www.cammotion.co.uk/vortex).

Cammotion have recently tested a new 5-axis stabilised camera system that rivals similar heads in terms of engineering and performance but provides with the advantage of incorporating any camera and lens, creating limitless creative possibilities and enabling 6K capability at a competitive price.

Teamed with Vortex this new head will be a unique offering. The stabilised gimbal can also be mounted to helicopters, gyrocopters, hoists or attached to a vehicle for tracking and will initially be configured to take a Sony P70 for HD filming, Sony P43 for UHD and the RED Dragon for up to 6K, although other camera options can be provided as needed.

Cammotion prides itself on the excellence of its innovation, design and engineering. Cammotion are also the creators and sole providers of the ROC remote head, a compact 2-axis remote head allowing for discreet positioning in almost any situation.

With its powerful motors, this small head has been designed to carry most camera and lens combinations and is perfect when used with cameras such as the Sony P70.

To complement the ROC head, Cammotion have also developed a low profile track that can be made to any length with speeds of 3 m/s with incorporated cable management that keeps the system neat and discreet.

Cammotion can also provide a compact 2.5 m motorised slide, ideal for creating a dynamic shot where there is no requirement to track over long distances.

Cammotion's motorised columns are ideal for vertical positioning of a ROC head. Two columns can be used together to mount the slide.
