Free Prize Draw On IDX/Libec BVE Stand

News Image
Stand F20 at BVE features IDX and Libec, two well respected Japanese suppliers of quality equipment used by broadcasters and professionals throughout the world.

With offices near Heathrow, IDX has had a U.K. office for over 20 years and are pleased to be the U.K. distributors for Libec offering advice and local support for their U.K. Customers.

To support the launch of two new important products, the HFMP (Hands Free Monopod) and the TH-X entry level tripod, both will feature in a daily free prize draw where one of each will be given away. The HFMP is designed for free standing operation and the TH-X sets new standards for robustness and light weight.

IDX will be demonstrating a wide range of Libec camera supports including pedestals, a telescopic jib arm, an electronically-controlled remote head, remote controls, dollies, tracking rails, and more; Libec is a byword for quality with affordability.

IDX will be previewing a new powerlink battery that will launch at NAB in April. Powerlink permits a second battery to be linked, doubling the effective capacity and run time. This battery will feature a new IDX innovation that is present on the new DUO-C95 and DUO-C195 batteries, namely a D-Tap advanced socket. This offers conventional D.C. output for powering ancillaries but in addition it will permit controlled charging from a small, low-cost lightweight travel charger, the VL-DT1.

Another new charger launched by IDX at BVE is the VL-2000S. It becomes their fastest 2 channel simultaneous charger with three important benefits over the much used and respected VL-2SPlus.

1. Life Plus Mode. When this option is switched on it uses a different charging algorithm which finishes the charging process early, enabling batteries to be available for use more quickly and increases the number of possible battery cycles by as much as 20%.

2. New energy efficiency management circuit which powers down the charger when it is not actively charging.

3. USB socket for firmware updates to access future IDX product features.

IDX currently has a VL-2000S Launch Promotion running. Called the ED-C190/4 Promo Package, the VL-2000S and the new VL-DT1 – having a total value £730.00 – are supplied free of charge when 4 x DUO-C190 are purchased from participating IDX dealers.

The DUO-Compact range, as the name suggests, have a very high energy density with the DUO-C190 weighing just 1070g with a capacity of 185Wh. It supports a continuous load of 11A/120W, ideal for larger LED lights and modern high resolution cameras with their demanding power requirement. The small DUO-C95 packs 93Wh capacity into a form factor weighing just 620g.

Each have a USB power output with a high current rating of 2.3 amps in addition to the 2 D-Taps, one of which is the advanced type permitting controlled fast charging.

IDX pioneered wireless video transmission with the Camwave range will be showing four systems catering for different needs.
