INTERVIDEO LICENSES SONIC'S AUTHORSCRIPT

SONIC Solutions, a leading supplier of authoring systems for DVD-Video production, has announced that InterVideo, a leading provider of digital video and audio software, has licensed Sonic’s AuthorScript for integration into WinProducer, InterVideo’s PC-based video editing application.
By incorporating Sonic AuthorScript, InterVideo will offer a complete multimedia publishing solution, providing users with the ability to capture, edit, author and publish video on DVD, VCD and SVCD media.
Sonic’s AuthorScript libraries, API, and comprehensive developer support give InterVideo users the ability to record DVDs that offer the widest compatibility with DVD playback devices.
AuthorScript is the technology underlying Sonic’s award-winning DVD authoring applications, and it is the leading formatting engine for third-party application developers who wish to integrate direct publishing of video, pictures and audio onto DVD-recordable and CD-recordable discs in DVD-Video, Video CD and Super Video CD formats.
A collection of C++ libraries, the AuthorScript API (Application Programming Interface) handles all of the low-level processes for converting video, audio, pictures, and graphics into a DVD, VCD, or SVCD. (SP)
