Holdan introduce improved video disk technology

HOLDAN will be showcasing their new Datavideo VDR-3000 video disk recorder at VideoForum 2002.
The VDR-3000 offers an alternative to recordable DVD, recording up to 20 minutes of MPEG-2 DVD quality video on to a standard CD-R or CD-RW disc.
The product can be used an instructive appendage, capable of producing training and promotional videos. The new media player facility adds adaptability, allowing recorded discs to auto-play in Windows driven PC's without any additional software. The new media player also offers a true full-screen playback facility and a frame extract tool allowing the user to extract and save any frame of the video as a bitmap.
For longer productions, its MPEG-1 compression can provide up to 80 minutes of audio and video to be recorded on to a standard CD-ROM.
The VDR-3000 is a stand-alone unit and does not require additional computer input and offers real-time recording of video and audio on to CD-ROM.
Standard connections for the product are s-video and composite video, analogue and digital audio input and YUV and RGB output. The unit can also be supplied with DV (Firewire) input.
Holdan will be at Stand 125, VideoForum 2002, which runs from February 5-7. (GMcG)
