FX Group expand workforce and facilities

FLYING in the face of recession horror stories, the FX Group have started 2002 on a buoyant note by announcing the appointment of four key new members of staff.
This brings the total number of recent appointments to 10 and the total number of staff across the burgeoning group to 45.
The new faces have joined FX from Dreamhire and include business development manager Martin Anscombe, Martin ‘Budgie’ Burden, who joins the rental bookings department and Copyroom engineers Richard Whittaker and Brian Cunningham.
FX Group chairman Roger Evan said: “These appointments reflect our confidence in the future and our determination to deliver a high level of service to our customers. We are pleased to welcome staff from Dreamhire who bring considerable expertise with them.”
FX have also marked the New Year by opening a dedicated Pro Tools transfer suite as part of an overall expansion of their Copyroom division.
Evan said: “The expansion of our Copyroom facilities reflects a continuing growth in this area of our business. The increase in staffing levels means that we can now offer a full evening and weekend transfer service, so those late afternoon jobs really can be completed by 10:00am the following morning.”
In addition, the Copyroom now have a second, larger oven, which is used to bake tapes that are shedding oxide. This enables FX to handle more than double their previous baking capacity and deliver a much faster service.
Other recent new recruits at FX include Rianne Harrinauth, accounts and administration assistant, John Bolaji, technical services assistant, Paul Bobbins, despatch co-ordinator, Chris House, equipment quality controller, Robert Taylor, new business co-ordinator and Mark Scurr, trainee technician.
