FX Music Control appoint dedicated London manager

FX Music Control, the equipment sales arm of the FX Group, have appointed James ‘Woody’ Woodburn as their London sales manager.
Woodburn joins FX Music Control from Serious Audio, where he was sales manager for two years until the company’s closure at the beginning of 2002. He is now based at the FX Group’s headquarters in East Acton and is responsible for handling all recording and postproduction sales enquiries in London and the South East.
FX Music Control’s managing director, Emma Brown, said: “Woody is highly regarded within the pro audio industry, particularly for his expertise with Pro Tools, which is an increasingly important part of our business. In recent months we have witnessed a large increase in orders throughout the country and we wanted to ensure that all customers received the same high level of service regardless of where they are in the country. By appointing a dedicated sales manager in the London area, we can guarantee easier access to the supply chain and much faster and more efficient results. Woody is also able to tap into the FX Group’s extensive range of services and technical support on behalf of all FX Music Control clients.”
FX Music Control, based in the Midlands, was founded in 1989 with the primary role of supplying vintage pro audio equipment to a far-reaching client base. As the company grew, they attracted the interest of the FX Group, which took them over in 1998. With this additional backing, FX Music Control have continued to flourish, servicing both the used and new sectors of the market. This success has allowed them to represent prestigious equipment lines such as DigiDesign’s Pro Tools TDM and HD.
