SmallHD Announces Firmware Upgrade
SmallHD has announced a free firmware update for its production and studio monitors.
The upgrade adds new features to its 13", 17", 24" and 32" production monitors including the HDR displays. Firmware 1.3 adds De-Interlacer to view interlaced video in a progressive mode. It also delivers V-Log and S-Log 3 DeLOG and HDR Preview support. In addition, a Color Picker tool has been added to the toolbar to enable users to view the specific colour values of a selected pixel.
There is also support for Studio Mode for SmallHD's 1303HDR 13" monitor which provides a brightness setting engineered for studio environments. A simplified multi-view function allows viewing of two video outputs for A/B Camera setups, while repeated pressing of the input button now cycles through all available inputs.
The update can be installed on the 1303 Studio, 1303 HRD, 1703 Studio, 1703 HDR, 2403 Studio, 2403 HDR and 3203 HDR. Firmware 1.3 is available via the SmallHD website here.
