New Firmware Tools For SmallHD Monitors
SmallHD has released new firmware tools for its 500 and 700 Series High Definition on-camera monitors. The update – Firmware 2.2 – can be downloaded and installed free by current owners, while on all new 500 and 700 Series monitors, it comes installed.
The new features include a professional HD Vector Scope for gauging exposure, while reverse Log LUTS for popular cameras are preloaded on the monitor. The intensity of the LUT can also be changed in real time on footage for the monitor operator or downstream. In addition to the original Zebra bars, the new firmware also adds Dual Zebra bars.
