Sony’s seminar showcases latest all-digital technology

SONY will be displaying all their latest broadcast and profession technology at a free seminar in the Natural History Museum, London, on January 30.
The new Matrox DigiSuite MAX, which is an all-digital broadcast studio capable of preserving quality and increasing flexibility and productivity, will be on show. This new technology makes it possible to acquire footage for immediate access by editors and compositors without the need for generation loss through file transcoding or tape duplication.
This editing suite can also create common file formats for the all-digital networked broadcast studio - or as a stand-alone platform.
Following the seminar, European vendors of Matrox-based networked broadcast studio technology will be on hand to answer questions and Sony representatives will also demonstrate the range and use of Sony products within the studio systems - including preview monitors, VTRs and cameras in a variety of formats.
