Lipsync Win Post Production And VFX Contract For US Thriller, Steel Country

News Image
Film and television post production facility, LipSync, has announced that it has won the post production and VFX contract for the upcoming US thriller, Steel Country, written by Brendan Higgins and directed by Simon Fellows.

The Steel Country cast is led by BAFTA-winner Andrew Scott, who is best known for his villainous roles in Sherlock and Spectre. Scott's co-stars include Bronagh Waugh, who starred in TV crime series The Fall, and Denise Gough, who was recently awarded Olivier Best Actress for her performance in the stage play People, Places and Things.

The film follows Scott as he plays a small town truck driver, turned detective, when a young boy goes missing in a quiet backwoods town. His investigations quickly become an obsession with disturbing consequences.

Leon Clarance at Motion Picture Capital will produce and fully finance Steel Country with Bedlam Film's Academy award winning producer Gareth Ellis-Unwin (The Kings Speech, Kajaki), Mark Williams and Tai Duncan of Zero Gravity.

Peter Hampden, Managing Director at LipSync, said: "We are delighted to announce our collaboration with the Motion Picture Capital and Bedlam Film for this highly anticipated film, and look forward to welcoming the production to Wardour Street."
