Marks & Spencer sparkle with new Christmas campaign

Marks & Spencer have revealed their innovative new Christmas television advertisement today.
The 50-second advert made by creative agency, Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R, is based around the theme of ‘Once upon a Christmas’, and showcases a selection of the extensive range of Christmas ideas and presents for all tastes available throughout M&S stores.
Alice Avis, Marketing Director at Marks & Spencer, commented: "The television advert has become an eagerly anticipated event from Marks & Spencer and is central to the Christmas campaign which kicked off last month with the roll-out of our dedicated Christmas shops.
“‘Magic and Sparkle’ is an intrinsic part of the Christmas experience and has become instantly recognisable by everyone on the high street. In addition this year we have built on the theme further with the creation of an icon of sparkling tree of lights and a poem to accompany it about enchantment of Christmas. This features on all our in-store materials and on our special Christmas carrier bags. ”
The creative team at Rainey Kelly was Chris Hodgkiss and Pip Bishop. The ad was directed by Jeff Stark and produced by Large Corporations.
The advert will have its first public screening on national television on Sunday November 9 and will run up until Christmas Eve.
