Inviting Partnerships

News Image
Screen greatly values the partnerships it has fostered over the years and considers them to be fundamental to business success.

Indeed Screen has boldly displayed Fortune Magazine's quote: “Alliances have become an integral part of contemporary strategic thinking” on its IBC stand in previous years to encourage a dialogue with prospective partners.

Now with the advent of a larger strategic partnerships team under the direction of its Strategic Partnerships Manager John Birch and their recently redeployed Business Development Director Keith Lucas, partnerships have a broader remit and are playing a much more integrated role in the future of Screen.

Two very visible and fruitful partnerships are those previously established with high profile companies Telestream and Dalet. Both businesses have enjoyed with Screen the mutual benefits resulting from the integration of their own class leading applications with the subtitling company's MediaMate product developed for the encoding, extraction, manipulating and conversion of subtitle files.

Other such partnerships have been formed and more are in the process of being nurtured.

Screen's 'OPEN Minds' campaign has hit the media in the lead-up to IBC 2016 and will also feature on the Screen stand at the RAI.

The advertising campaign invites the industry to open their mind to new ways of working, thinking and creating to encourage partners to consider integrating Screen's products which continue to raise the bar in subtitling technology.

Conversely, and from a partnerships perspective the campaign headline has been flipped on other adverts to invite businesses to present a proposition to Screen to challenge the firm to open its own mind to 'a new way of working'.

The adverts go on to suggest that as a long established company, Screen, with a respected global network and four decades of broadcast technology expertise, may be the ideal environment for collaborative innovation to thrive.

Screen believes they are also ideally placed as an effective conduit to market for partner products.

As an example, a relationship with fellow East of England based broadcast solutions developer Suitcase TV was recently confirmed.

In partnership with Suitcase TV, Screen is offering storage solutions specifically designed for broadcast media operations.

Offering outstanding low costs per byte of stored media, MediaStor also includes as standard a Hierarchical Storage Management (HSM) application which maps the customer's stored content directly into a Windows™ environment. As an 'open' system, MediaStor also integrates existing storage from other vendors into a single managed hierarchy with full audit trails and access control.

A MediaStor advisor will be available on the Screen stand at IBC throughout the show.

In light of the introduction of their new partnerships strategy, Screen is inviting technology developers and manufacturers to contact them to discuss possible similar relationships to the one they have with Suitcase TV.

Members of the partnerships team will be at IBC or alternatively you can use the [email protected] email address to request a meeting.

Screen are exhibiting at IBC on stand 1.C49.
