Production Begins On Britain's Coastal Railways Series

Alaska TV has begun producing a new four-part series which will explore coastal railways in the UK.

'Britain's Coastal Railways with Julie Walters' (w/t) was commissioned for Channel 4 and will feature the actress as she travels around scenic stretches of coastal railway routes across the country.

During the series, Mrs Walters will learn how coastal routes ranging from pristine Scottish beaches to Cornish fishing villages helped shape the nation, as well as finding out about the people who brought these routes to life.

The series was commissioned by Channel 4's Head of Features Gill Wilson. The Executive Producers are Rich Evans and Paul Sommers, and the Series Producer is Nicky Waltham.
