Concept Finishing launch EasiPlace range

MediaTech 2003 in Frankfurt saw the hugely successful European launch of the new EasiPlace range.
Designed by Cambridgeshire based Concept Finishing Services, the range has been created to enhance, speed up and provide added security to the CD & DVD packaging process. It is believed to be more advanced than any other machine available in the UK and possibly the world.
The EasiPlace range is specifically for the audio packaging and production market, taking the picking and placement of CD and DVD trays onto backing card and cases to a new level. Utilising current technology the machines run at 6,000-8,000 units per hour but unlike existing technology available on the market the EasiPlace range has the added feature of on-line security tagging.
Security tagging has historically been a separate method but with the technology of Concept’s EasiPlace machine, it is all part of the process, offering time and cost savings and avoiding the need for a separate manufacturing procedure.
The EasiPlace machines have the ability to place one to six trays in one pass. Each unit comprises of a stainless steel frame supporting a conveyor system wide enough to accept six trays and long enough to accept two rotary feeders and a gluing system between. Also incorporated are intermediate positioning magazines that are easily adjustable.
Another unique feature of the EasiPlace range is the make ready time for all machines in the range. Within 30 minutes the machine can be changed from DVD trays to CD trays, a time that no other competitor machines can match.
The tray guiding magazine that is built into the EasiPlace means that the on-line tolerances are as little as 0.2mm. Trays can be aligned with the edge of the board and this precise placement means that the cartonboard has added rigidity, preventing board damage.
The main benefits of the EasiPlace range are the ease of use, ease of set up and quick change over from one job to the next, reducing costs compared to that of existing machines available on the market.
