Scopus Network Technologies open Singapore office

Scopus Network Technologies, a leading supplier of digital compression technology to the broadcasting industry, have announced the opening of an office in Singapore.
The Singapore office will be Scopus’ main hub in the Asia Pacific region and service Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Australia and New Zealand as well as other Asia Pacific countries. With offices in Beijing and Mumbai that serve and support their respective markets, Scopus are broadening their strategic regional scope to ensure a greater presence in this all-important region.
Heading the Singapore office is Derrick Tay, a veteran sales and marketing director with 16 years of experience in the Asia Pacific Region high tech sector. Tay has been responsible for heading sales teams in Singapore and the region, including for leading companies such as IBM, Tandem, Sequent and Thomas De La Rue.
Tay said that the opening of Scopus’ office will enable the company to play a greater role in the region and strengthen its leadership position in the international broadcast arena. He added: “Scopus’ proven capabilities to supply complete end-to-end digital broadcasting platforms are a major reason for the Company’s successes in the region, such as the World Cup project held in 2002 in Korea, and I look forward to making sure that these continue.”
