BBC Launches New Free App

The BBC has launched a new app, BBC+.

The app is available to download for free for both iOS and Android mobiles in the UK and presents a selection of the broadcaster's online content chosen to appeal to each user's interests.

BBC+ is designed to put each user in control of the information they receive. After signing-in, they can get up-to-the-minute information about what is happening in the world, discover new things from across the BBC, talked about TV and other content on topics such as Books and Authors, Mind and Body and Money Matters.

To use BBC+, users need to download the app and then sign in. By signing in, users receive a more personal service with relevant information and recommendations. It keeps users connected to content they want, whether news and politics or food and technology, the latest sporting updates or what's new from the likes of BBC Three.

BBC+ forms part of the BBC's strategy for delivering a more personal BBC to viewers and listeners.
