New PAGlink 150Wh Batteries

PAG introduced its new PL150 Series of PAGlink Intelligent Linking Batteries at NAB in April.

The new Li-Ion batteries offer an increased capacity of 150Wh, 50% more than 96Wh PAGlink batteries, but with no increase in size or weight.

PAG has used the latest high-capacity Li-Ion cells to ensure the highest energy density of any 150Wh Li-Ion battery brought to market.

The PL150 series comprises two V-Mount options: one features PAG's now familiar 5-light Run-Time & Capacity indicator, and the other incorporates the long-established numeric Run-Time & Capacity display.

These models will ship in Q3 of 2016, followed by a Gold Mount version in Q4, that features a numeric display and high-current cells.

Every functional benefit of the PAGlink battery system has been maintained. PL150 batteries can be linked to multiply capacity, from 150Wh to 300Wh with just two batteries.

The current draw capability increases from 8A to 12A when V-Mount batteries are linked, and from 10A to 12A with the Gold Mount option.

The batteries are designed for high power consumption applications, such as simultaneously powering a digital cinema camera and multiple accessories.

PL150 batteries can be linked with the 96Wh versions, for charge or discharge, which are managed safely by the PAGlink intelligent technology. Reliability, durability and the highest safety standard are integral to the battery design and consistent across PAG's Li-Ion range.

All PAG Li-Ion batteries are tested by an independent authority to UN standards, in compliance with air transport regulations. A capacity above 100Wh but below 160Wh means that two units per person can be carried in cabin luggage, when you fly.
