Timeline Television Signs New Lease

News Image
Timeline Television has renewed a five-year lease at its facility in MediaCityUK. In addition, the company has expanded its cloud-based editing solutions to post production clients.

Timeline Television North built the first independent post production and broadcast facility in MediaCityUK. Following growth and investment in the facility over a four-year period, it now offers six Avid Media Composer/Adobe Premiere/FCP Offline suites, two Avid Online Suites, DaVinci Grading Theatre, two Pro Tools Audio Dub Suites, Tracklay Suite, Voice Over Booth, and a fully equipped MCR with Content Agent for media transcodes and AS11 delivery files.

The company has also developed cloud-based editing solutions with Avid and Adobe enabling clients, at any location, to ingest media and edit using on-the-fly proxies, and seamlessly finishing in full resolution. Using Timeline Access, the in-house asset management web portal, producers can view and approve rushes or on-going edits from their phones, tablets or laptops.

The facility includes full edit support staff, post producers, live transmission specialists and dubbing mixers.

Paul Tovee, who recently joined the business to lead the facility, said: "We have invested heavily in our facilities and have the experience to deliver creative post production for a variety of genres including Drama, Children's programming and Documentaries. Timeline Television has the full breadth of expertise and technical infrastructure to capture, create, edit and deliver programmes. We believe that the nature of post-production is changing and with Timeline Television's unique spread of knowledge across a huge range of workflows and technologies, are fully capable, delivering to clients at the highest level of virtually any project, from the supremely creative to the utmost technical."

With new multi-gigabit connectivity between their sites in Ealing, Soho and MediaCityUK, Timeline Television can offer clients across the country access to their full range of services, from studio facilities, multi-camera acquisition, split-location post-production projects, remote VO and audio services, private cloud storage, long-term asset and archive management, file transfer, QC and programme delivery services, outside broadcasts, remote editing solutions and broadcast IT services, with access to these services from any of their locations.

Mark Robinson, Head of Asset Management at MediaCityUK, said: "Timeline Television North was one of the first businesses to commit to making the move to Blue Tower, MediaCityUK back in 2011. Five years on, the company has gone from strength to strength, expanding and developing its facilities significantly. Timeline Television North is an integral part of the diverse service offering within MediaCityUK's business community, and we are delighted to receive its commitment of a further five years with us."
