SAM Appoints Regional Sales Manager For Middle East

SAM has appointed Sherif Shaker as its Regional Sales Manager for the Middle East.

Based in the Dubai office, he will report in to SAM's Managing Director, Middle East, Naresh Subherwal. In his new role, which is effective immediately, Shaker will be responsible for growing SAM's customer base in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Kuwait, Bahrain, Jordan, Iraq and Yemen, with a particular emphasis on Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Kuwait.

Shaker said: "I'm delighted to join SAM at such pivotal time in the industry and I’m keen to leverage my contacts to help grow the company's presence and business opportunities in the Middle East. Broadcasters in this region face a range of challenges, from the ongoing move to HD to the longer term transition to IP. There's also of course the move to 4K. SAM has the technology and expertise to help them do this."
