ITK launch 6K Northlight film scanner

News Image
Hertford-based ITK have unveiled their new 6K film scanner - the ITK Northlight.
In a statement ITK said: "The Northlight is a state of the art CCD digital scanner with unparalleled image quality, designed by FilmLight and manufactured and distributed by ITK. Incorporating the latest 8K tri-linear CCD sensor, the Northlight scans 4K at 4.7 seconds per frame - nearly twice the speed of its closest rival."
The Northlight was originally developed by Framestore-CFC as part of their long term investment into innovative technology for film and television production. The first Northlight is in full production at Framestore-CFC, and has already scanned many high profile titles, including recently 'Blade 2' with Wesley Snipes, 'Resident Evil' and '51st State'.
Delphi Durrant, ITK joint Managing Director, said: "We are delighted to be able to offer our customers a CCD scanner with unsurpassed image quality and speed. Whatever their film scanning needs, we can now offer an ITK solution, reinforcing our position at the forefront of technology."
