Golf TV tees off with Kingston

Kingston inmedia have secured Golf TV as their 28th playout customer, making Kingston one of the fastest growing independent playout providers in the UK.
Golf TV has signed up for Kingston's Fully Managed Playout, Eurobird uplink and space segment services. A full launch is expected towards the end of the month.
Golf TV is the UK's first dedicated golf channel and will feature interviews and advice from some of the world's leading golf professionals, information on the latest equipment, products and techniques and a golf clinic. There are also plans to secure rights to some of the world's most prestigious tournaments as well as developing Golf TV's own golf competitions.
"Golf is a huge sport in the UK and Europe, with over 6,000 courses and 6 million golfers in Europe who are crying out for their own dedicated TV channel," said Golf TV Founder Andrew Malcher. "The annual turnover for the golf retail market in the UK is estimated to be between £250 and £350 million, so we're very excited about the opportunities presented by Golf TV. It wasn't a difficult decision to make Kingston our broadcast enabler. In addition to getting us on air at the right time, Kingston provides a high level of service and backup and has interactive systems in place to satisfy our future requirements. It's natural that we'll turn to them when we're ready to use enhanced features to add a new dimension to Golf TV."
