New Genelec Monitors Shown At BVE 2017
Genelec has demonstrated its 8430A Audio-over-IP (AoIP) monitor at BVE 2017. Making their BVE debut was the company's selection of room-adapting Smart Active Monitors, including the 8340 and 8350 models.
The Genelec 8430A delivers accurate networked audio. The studio monitor also conforms to Ravenna and inter-operable AES67 standards, as well as supports Genelec's GLM room calibration system, adapting the response of the monitor to its environment for accuracy.
Also on show was the integration of Genelec 8430 with Avid Pro Tools via AoIP audio interface products including DAD AX32, DX32R, NTP Penta 720 and the new Avid MTRX, which made its UK debut.
Alongside the 8430, was a range of Genelec's next-generation of Smart Active Monitors, including the latest 8340 and 8350 models. Compatible with the new generation of Genelec GLM 2.0 speaker calibration system, the expanded 8300 range represents a comprehensive and accurate room-correction system.
