Canford & EML supply Saudi refit
Canford have been chosen as the primary supplier of cables, connectors and patch panels for the Ministry of Information MCR Ugrade project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Cables made to Canford's own design and their new MUSA Patch Panels & U Links were supplied to EML Technology Integration of Andover UK, who won the contract to design and implement the project consisting of two digital studios, MCR/CAR, nine non-linear editing suites and upgrades to audio systems in seven existing studios.
The new MUSA system, designed and built at the Canford Manufacturing plant on Portland, was chosen by EML as it offers the best SD performance with the capability to pass uncompressed HD in the future.
Canford's SDV and low loss SDV-L digital video cable were chosen as they offer industry leading loss characteristics and signal phase stability. DFT (Digital Foil Screened Twin) and KSM multi-pair form the core of the audio infrastructure around ADC B-gauge audio patch panels.
The studio complex is due to go on air in January 2004.
