Peerless Involved In Michael Caine's New Movie

Peerless has announced its involvement in the movie Youth, starring Sir Michael Caine.

The London-based VFX facility worked alongside auteur director Paolo Sorrentino and Director of Photography Luca Bigazzi, to fully supervise and deliver the project through their full 4K pipeline.

The VFX work included designing a music promo dream sequence, flooding and enhancing St Mark's Square in Venice, levitating a monk and keeping Maradona's football skills up to date.

Drew Jones, Director of VFX for Peerless, said: "Working on Youth was a wonderful experience and we were delighted to have the opportunity to create such beautiful and seamless imagery to compliment Sorrentino's vision."

Youth tells the story of retired composer and conductor Fred (Michael Caine), who vacations at a Swiss Spa with his longtime friend Mick (Harvey Keitel). As Mick crafts what may be his final screenplay, Fred is given the opportunity to perform for the Queen.

Peerless are also currently working on a number of productions including The Foreigner (STX Entertainment, director: Martin Campbell), and The Secret Agent (BBC/World Productions director: Charles McDougall).
