New Cookery Pilot For Channel 4

A new cooking pilot has been announced for Channel 4.

BEEF (w/t) will see six of the UK's best-known chefs demonstrating how exciting cooking can get be once they down tools in their own kitchens and come together to work in an after-hours supper club. However, the chefs will also showcase their skills in an attempt to outdo each other.

The 1x60' pilot will see the chefs go head-to-head as they use everyday ingredients and transform them into new and inventive dishes. However, they will be dishes that viewers will also be able to recreate in their own homes.

Viewers will also discover the most in-demand new ingredients, techniques and culinary trends from the chefs as they take them behind the scenes of their respective workplaces and travel across the country to celebrate all things delicious.

Filming will take place at the George Tavern in London's East End. The event will be sound-tracked with live music and a DJ. The chefs taking part in the pilot are Lee Tiernan (Black Axe Mangal), Elizabeth Allen (PIDGIN), Andrea Michelon (Ombra), James Cochran (RestaurantFIX), Alex Szrok (Hill and Szrok), and Imran Bashir (Elephant).

The pilot episode was commissioned by Kate Teckman, Commissioning Editor, Channel 4 Features and Clemency Green, Commissioning Executive. The Executive Producer is Will Daws, and Plum Pictures ltd is the production company.

BEEF is expected to air on Channel 4 in February 2016.
