RTS Futures Announces Return Of Training Fair
RTS Futures has announced that its Entry Level Training Fair is to return later this month.
More than 20 exhibitors from the broadcast and production sector will take part in the event, which will be held on Monday, 25 January at Hallam Conference Centre in London.
The fair will allow those looking to develop a career in television to meet with major broadcasters, production companies and training facilities, as representatives provide information about their entry-level training schemes and placements.
Confirmed exhibitors include: BBC Academy, BBC Talent Network, Betty, Channel 4, Creative Access, Curve Media, Endemol Shine Group, Evolutions, FremantleMedia UK, Guardian Edinburgh International TV Festival, ITN, ITV Studios, Latimer Group, London360, London Live, Mama Youth Project, Pinewood Studios, RDF Group, Roundhouse (Bloomberg Broadcast Programme), Sara Putt Associates, The Farm, Viacom and Warner Bros. Television Production UK.
Commenting on the event, Donna Taberer, Chair of the RTS Futures committee, said: "Finding a way into the broadcasting industry is notoriously difficult. Traditional entry points have changed and it's not always easy to work out who is accepting applicants. The RTS Futures Entry Level Training Fair was launched in 2015 to provide those looking to get into television with valuable information about the companies which take on trainees, apprentices and interns. Following the success of this event, which saw over 400 candidates meet with leading companies from within the industry, we are delighted to see it return and welcome the participation of so many leading players."
The second annual RTS Futures Entry Level Training Fair takes place on Monday 25 January, between 4pm and 8pm, at Hallam Conference Centre, London. To book a place, or to find out more information, visit: www.rts.org.uk.
